SoftMap's digital maps on CD-ROM are hugely
popular - over 30,000 sold!
The maps are exact copies of Canadian federal
government topographic maps, produced under licence from
Natural Resources Canada. The maps are geo-referenced, meaning that you can see
the latitude and longitude for the exact spot of your mouse cursor.
- topo50 contains maps at 1:50,000, 1:250,000
- topo250 contains maps at 1:250,000
The maps are stitched together so you can
continuously navigate across a very large area. We've all been frustrated when
the lake we're looking for, or the river we're following for a canoe route,
continues off the edge of a topo sheet.¹ Not a problem with SoftMap! View
and print whatever you want.
Features:
- Great value: each package contains the
equivalent of more than $2,000 worth of printed maps
- Print your own maps - you select the coverage
area and scale
- Add trails and routes
- Customize by adding text or symbols
- Easy-to-use software

¹ We regret, there are a few exceptions where gaps split
the region. The earth is a round, 3-D surface. When you flatten it out to make
2-D maps, it's impossible to do this without creating either gaps or
distortions. SoftMap didn't want to distort maps, so unfortunately there are
gaps. If you are interested in a particular region, we would be more than
pleased to verify that this area is indeed "stitched" without gaps. For more
